Embodied by cartoon characters Beetle Bailey and Popeye, the historical Army vs. Navy theme is a favorite of Dr. Romanelli‘s (seen in diverse projects ranging from Converse Chucks to Medicom BE@RBRICKS to leather bomber jackets). The doctor revisits the leitmotif in a joint venture with Bamford Watch Department, resulting in a Beetle Bailey Rolex Submariner and Popeye the Sailor Rolex Yacht Master. Each timepiece has the dedicated animated character integrated onto the dial, a back case engraved with the Dr. Romanelli logo and numbered edition, and special packaging including a custom comic strip.
