Just Blaze Gets His ‘Purple Tape’, Rocks the SNOW BEACH

Just Blaze is a hip-hop fiend and ‘Lo head bar none so imagine his excitement when the guys at Get On Down gifted him with the newly reissued “Purple Tape,” the classic cassette version of Chef Raekwon’s solo debut, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx featuring his partner in crime and rhyme Ghostface Killah.
Earlier this week our friends at Complex gave you a look at deluxe packaging that features the cassette in a “piano lacquer” display case with gold-color hardware a 32-page, hard-cover liner notes book with text by “Check The Technique” author Brian Coleman and a reprint of the original tape insert.
Holed up at his Harlem studio Stadium Red, Just Blaze got the deluxe package way before it dropped on GetOnDown.com this Monday and thought the occasion was special enough for him to pull out the classic “Snow Beach” Polo pullover that Chris Brown Rae immortalized in the “Can It Be All So Simple” video.
You can get your hands on the Purple Tape deluxe reissue at Get On Down as for the SNOW BEACH pullover, good luck finding that for less than a few G’s
