Haerfest Fall/Winter Alpha Experiment Collection 2012

One of the pioneers of 20th century modernism, Joseph Albers was an influential artist and color theorist who also inspired the reconsideration of fabrics as an art form. Albers was the reference point for Haerfest‘s new Alpha Experiment collection for Fall/Winter 2012, a line of avant-garde leather accessories and the new canvas for the label’s desire to push boundaries. Drawing on the relationships between colors in the same chromatic range and their changes over time, Haerfest focused this season on mustard and crimson, both seldom-used yet seasonally appropriate hues that will burnish to golden browns and softer reds with use. The collection consists of bags in various forms — backpacks, messengers, and totes — along with the label’s signature cardholders and coin wallets, both of which can be combined and separated according to need. As always, the range showcases Haerfest’s reductive aesthetic and uncompromising craftsmanship and is available for purchase now at Haerfest’s recently relaunched website.
