Staple 2012 Fall/Winter “American History _______” Collection

Who remembers anything from those mandatory years of grade history classes? Staple Design is headed back to school with its “American History _______” collection for Fall/Winter 2012. Like the design label’s previous Spring/Summer 2012 “Theology Collection,” the theme is again educational, but this time focusing on American history — specifically between historical American conflicts that were based around the ‘haves’ and the ‘have-nots.’ Of course, this thematic conflict isn’t limited to the past. At any rate, the line’s button-downs, tees, and snapbacks carry the classic Staple pigeon graphic, along with inspirations from the “insurgent era” — struggles which have changed little throughout the course of history. The lookbook was shot by Anna Sian at the New Design School in New York City’s Lower East Side. Of course, on cue with the collection’s announcement, you should already start to find the collection at Reed Space in New York City, and trickling in to Staple stockists worldwide.
